Welcome to the Round Hill Community Garden Website!
On Sunday May 19 2009 between 1 and 4 pm, a garden grew in a vacant Town-owned plot in the small community of Round Hill VA.....
Community Involvement
Calling themselves the EARTH Team (Edible Agriculture 'Round The Hill), a handful of volunteer gardening enthusiasts from the community designed the Garden, birthed it, and managed its operation through the season. Other community partners provided financial assistance and in-kind donations: local businesses, landscape companies, farmers, civic groups, artists and local non-profits.

Town of Round Hill
The Mayor and Town Council each year re-authorize the use of the property as a Garden and provide insurance coverage. The Town holds RHCG funds in their accounts, delivers water to the Garden cistern regularly, and maintains the mowing of the grass surrounding the garden.

RHCG 2012 season
Here are the ways you can participate in the Garden!
- Register for a plot in the 2012 season.
- Offer labor help at our Spring Workdays, TBD
- Donate money towards the operational expenses; receive a tax write-off!
- Participate on the EARTH Team (no special knowledge required)

RHCG 2011 Season recap
In the 2011 season, we
- put the new garden shed and sign into use
- set up successful operation of town water spigot
- erected rainwater catchment system; installed mulched paths
- amended the soil with organic matter and manure

The 2011 EARTH Team thanks the Town, all our donors and volunteers, gardeners and everyone who has encouraged, supported and helped initiate Western Loudoun's first community garden.
